Adjustment of Status - I-485

My husband received his Advance Parole and booked a plane to visit his family for the holidays in Brazil and to also close his business there and sell his car (has been many years since he was able to travel back home and i was also planning to go in late January to visit his family and we would both come home together), well 12 hours before he left we got our "Interview is Scheduled" so he will have to come back Dec 22nd (2 weeks before interview to quarantine). He would like to go back to Brazil right after our interview to finish everything and be around his family more and then i would visit at the end of his trip and come home with him. Will it be ok to travel right after our interview? I know if he gets approved his advance parole is no longer valid, but i can bring him his greencard when i go to Brazil, but if it doesn't get approved right away his Advance Parole will still work, correct?
