My interview timing was 12:00. So I took VFS lounge of VFS. If your interview is after 10:00 AM, then I'd recommend that you should go for it.

The interview got delayed by almost 2 hours (I think it is usual). VFS lounge people drops you at US consulate office before 15 mins.

Procedure at US consulate:
1. Security:
You are allowed only to carry your documents in plastic bag. You can carry your wallet. All other things are NOT allowed.

2. After security check, you are given the papers that you have sent while filling the Visa form. Also, they will give you pink slip (token) which contains number (which called during visa interview)

3. Then you proceed toward finger-scanning. Here you have to submit all the papers that you have received in 2 steps and your passport. Once your finger scanning is done, you are asked to seat before counters.

4. Waiting starts... You have to listen then announcement carefully. Because sometimes there is bit panic. Be alert and listen all the announcements carefully. There are around 16 counters.

5. Interview:

VO: pass me pink slip (token, that we received)
Me: passed...
VO: Why are you going there?
Me: explained...
VO: What is your CTC?
Me: explained.
VO: Why your manager not travelling with you?
Me: explained.
VO: Why company choose you over your colleagues?
Me: explained
VO: Have you granted leave application?
Me: No. It is official visit.
VO: Who will pay for your visit?
Me: My company back in India.
VO: Then came golden sentence. Your visa has been approved.
Me: Thanks.
