Adjustment of Status - I-485

HI guys, i admire as every one of you come and share their experience here on this website, helping others pass their anxiety . During this last few months coming and reading different posts i learned a lot of stuff that even my lawyer didn't know. Now i will continue with my story. I have been in NYC for the last 20 months . Came in this country in 2014 under a visa waiver program and married with my wife. After a couple of months later we applied for i-485 and i-130, to be precise in June 2015. Everything went fine the first months of our application. Biometrics done after 1 month, Ead received after two months , and that was it. Never heard from USCIS. After 10 months we requested an infopass with our lawyer resulting in just a waste of time. At USCIS office they told us that im going under a background check and we have to wait . Tried and contacted with the governors office of my county but still nothing and today my lawyer sent me an email telling me that she can do nothing and just take actions that you see appropriate, that were her words. It has been one year since our application and not one word from USCIS.Both i-485 and I-130 are delayed by the way. Anybody does have similar case with mine cause it would help me a lot to know that im not the only one in this situation. I am getting anxious and dont have any hopes anymore. This agency is ridiculous with their policies .
