Please help
Hello everyone,
I'd like to share my case in here and hope everybody can give me some insight or advice. I live in Missouri City, Texas and I did my application thru a lawyer office. They really made many mistakes on my application causing more delay for me. First, they mailed out my application without the filing fees (which I feel a really stupid mistake), then I received an RFE for my I-485 (basically they messed up my husband's name). My application is submitted to National Benefits Center (MSC). Here's my timeline:

3/4/16 - USCIS received my application
3/21/16 - Rejection notice (because they didn't include the payment)
The lawyer office re-sent my application:

3/28/16 - PD
4/8/16 - Received NOA in mail
5/11/16 - Received RFE on the Affidavit Support (form I-864) in mail. I contacted the lawyer immediately and they said it's because USCIS oversight but later I found out that my husband's name was wrong in one of the 12 pages.
5/19/16 - Response To USCIS' RFE Was Received
6/23/16 - Form I 131 was approved.

I am very upset and confused. I haven't got my biometrics appointment ever since they sent my application, then I received RFE because of another silly mistakes from the lawyer's side. I know the lawyer didn't do the paper herself, my paper was prepared by her assistant. I guess the RFE will make it more longer for my case. My last update was only form I 131 was approved, nothing about I 485 and I 765. I had to be in hiatus from my job, now I'm in a tight position. I want to get my EAD asap to go back to work. However, I never got my biometrics app, and since my PD is 3/28/16 now it's more than 3 months, should I submit a case inquiry for I 765 online or call them? Or the worst scenario is I cannot do it at all because I have an RFE, I know RFE will pause the whole process..

What do you guys think I should do? Please help, any information appreciated. Thanks all!
