Service Request After 6 Months of Filing I-485 in NYC for Marriage to USC?
1. What are the advantages or disadvantages of submitting a "service request" after 6-months of filing an I-485, and there has been no progress other than completion of fingerprinting and the status online tracker indicating the generic "ready to schedule interview," without actually scheduling one as yet? We are a New York City couple and I am a US Citizen and the case is for my wife (non-US Citizen) marrying me and applying for adjustment of status.

2. If there is a service request, is it better to be a call or should I just do it online?

3. Should the service request be for the I-130, or I-485, or both?

Thanks!
