Experience with new L2 based EAD
Here is my experience with my first time L2 visa based EAD. The list of documents below is an exhaustive one and it will guarantee of getting no RFE's. For renewal, copy of old EAD, both sides, should be sent as well. Sent all the documents to the Phoenix lockbox facility.

Documents included in the application
-> Cover letter
-> Filing fee $380 – Cashier’s check
-> I-765 form along with G-1145 form
-> Copy of I-129S form of Spouse
-> Copies of Passport (Spouse and Self)
-> Copies of US visa (Spouse – L1 and Self – L2)
-> Copies of most recent I-94 (Spouse and self)
-> Employment Letter of Spouse
-> Copy of SSN of Spouse
-> 2 photographs (self, with name, DOB and I-94 number, written on the back)
-> Copy of Marriage Invitation Card
-> One Marriage photograph
-> Marriage Certificate (English mandatory)

Timeline
-> 19-Apr-2016 (Day -2) : Landed in US on L2 visa.
-> 20-Apr-2016 (Day -1) : Sent documents via USPS Priority Mail
-> 21-Apr-2016 (Day 0) : Received at USCIS Phoenix facility
-> 26-Apr-2016 (Day 5) : Received email confirmation saying Case accepted and routed to Nebraska service center
-> 29-Apr-2016 (Day 8) : Travelled back to India to serve 2 month long notice period with then current employer
-> 23-May-2016 (Day 31) : Didn't get the receipt notice on mail, so called USCIS, they said it is okay if you have got the receipt number.
-> 08-Jun-2016 (Day 48) : Change in status - Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It. It was the receipt notice which I didn't get earlier.
-> 09-Jun-2016 (Day 49) : Made a change in address, added spouse name in C/O, registered in USPS and got response from USCIS that they will resend the notice to the new address.
-> 16-Jun-2016 (Day 56) : Received the receipt notice
-> 06-Jul-2016 (Day 76) : Raised 1st SR for 'Approaching Regulatory Timeframe'
-> 07-Jul-2016 (Day 77) : Came back to US, tried contacting local congressman, the case worker was on leave. Submitted request to Ombudsman.
-> 14-Jul-2016 (Day 84) : Contacted state Senator's office, sent documents via email to the local Senator. This was "The Best" thing I did.
-> 19-Jul-2016 (Day 89) : Called Ombudsman and shared my offer letter, receipt notice and I94
-> 20-Jul-2016 (Day 90) : 1st SR response : case pending adjudication. Raised 2nd SR for "Case outside processing timeline".
-> 21-Jul-2016 (Day 91) : 2nd SR Response : case in line to be reviewed by an officer
-> 25-Jul-2016 (Day 95) : Got email from Senator's office confirming they have starting looking into my case
-> 26-Jul-2016 (Day 96) : Got a call from Senator's office confirming the same as above.
-> 29-Jul-2016 (Day 99) : Took infopass, was told the case has been assigned to an officer
-> 01-Aug-2016 (Day 102): Case approved and new card went for production.
-> 03-Aug-2016 (Day 104): Card was mailed.
-> 06-Aug-2016 (Day 107): Received the card in mailbox
