How does a Priority Date work? I am really confused by the fact that folks are going by this as a means to know how long they have waited. I only say that, because you can have a really old PD, but have only recently submitted an AOS. I am an example...
PD is back from August 2014 for my I-130 (this is the actual date that shows up on my I-485 PD).
I didn't submit the I-485 AOS till this year May 2016.
So how exactly does a PD work when you have such a huge gap between the I-130 approval and the I-485 received and in a "Ready to Schedule Interview" state. I don't think you can exactly count from the PD, which means what folks are doing is kind of inaccurate, no?
