Newark NJ filers ?

I have been reading this page from last 1 year since i filed my green card through my spouse who is US citizen
March 2016 i was having interview everything was perfect and we had twins since we filed our application we took them both on our interview and submitted there birth certificates also at the end of interview io told us she didnt have my file yet so she said she will request it from uscis and it could take a month
Now its been 5 months no response i submitted service request and i got letter stating that your petition is still pending we regret that we cannot give you any time frame
So is there any one stuck in Newark NJ for more than 1 year after filing ?
i made an info pass appointment in following week so should i expect any answer or can anyone suggest me that should i try congressman at this point or i should wait for some more times
