Interview Jacksonville Florida
I had my interview yesterday 8/24/16. My husband,my lawyer, and I arrived 30 minutes early... My lawyer prepped us while we waited. The IO called us back on time. Before seating us the IO swore my husband and I in. She asked me for all of the documents that I entered the country with. I gave her my passport she compared it to what was on file and then stamped the copies that were on file. She then asked for my birth certificate and marriage license, she compared it to what was on file and then stamped the copies that were on file. She asked my husband for his birth certificate and drivers license.she compared it to what was on file and then stamped the copies that were on file. She asked for the joint documents, which my lawyer handed to her (health insurance, dental insurance, aflac insurance, renters insurance, and Sam's club membership, they like to see 5 or more joint documents). The IO looked through all of the documents that I had, then asked if we had a bank account together, I replied no.she then asked if we had a least together I said no, she said why not? I said because he had an eviction. She asked him when was his eviction, he said 2014. She asked if we had car insurance I said no because he doesn't have a drivers license. Then she asked if it was my signature on the papers , I replied yes. She asked where did we meet, how long did we date, how long was the engagement, where did we get married, who was there, did we have a reception, did we have a honeymoon, did either one of us work, which my husband answered all of those questions. She looked through my photo album and asked about one photo. She then asked me all of the yes and no questions. She never asked my husband or myself about each other, or about our families. She approved my case on the spot and said that I could apply for citizenship in 2 years 9 months. She then said follow me and escorted us out. The interview took About 15 /20 minutes(very fast)About 3 1/2 hours later I received a text message stating that my card had been ordered. 6 hours later I received a text message stating that my I485 and I130 was approved. So glad this nightmare is over. Good luck to all of you on this journey. May God bless you all.
