B2 Visitor visa got approved for my mother. Her Profile is :-
My mom who is a single parent, got her visa in her first attempt from Mumbai consulate. We choose interview in hindi language. Visa officer was a white guy aged around 25, they arranged a translator too.
- single parent.(father passed away several years ago)
- No other siblings(I am her only child)
- No Employment ties. (Mentioned is DS 160 that she runs her tuition classes and she has Business)
- I sponsored her and shared all required documents.
Interview Goes like this.
VO : Good Morning, can i have you passport.
Mom : Good Morning and provided the passport.
VO : Who is living in US ?
Mom : My son and Daughter in law.
VO : Why you want to go to US ?
Mom : for visiting the places and to meet my son and daughter in law.
VO : Where you stay in india
Mom : Answered accordingly
VO : Who all are there staying with you.
Mom : Answered Accordingly.
VO : How Long you stay in US.
Mom : 8 weeks.
VO : You visa is approved, you will get your passport in 3 to 5 days.
Thats it, no ties related question no documents nothing. She is not working and totally dependent on me. I think DS 160 is the key to success provide as much as info to support your case. Thank you Immi help for providing such a detailed Platform.
