Affidavit of Support
Hey everyone, I would like some of your thoughts specially those that have gone through the interview process. My US citizen father is my petitioner but he doesn't make more than the 125% poverty line. If you count my income as part of his household then we do. However, because of school I have a residence in NJ. However, the lawyer is trying to make the case that because its for school, my domicile and main residence is still in NYC and my income should count. I suggested that I still ask a friend to be an additional affidavit of support, and the lawyer said that if I could that would be great.

My question is: can the IO decide if my income can count or not and right during the interview and I can then say "hey if can't count, I have an additional affidavit of support"? Basically I want to be as prepared as possible. Thoughts on the additional affidavit of support and how this can play out during the interview?
