I wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experiences (helped many of us). I wold like to share my experience as well.

My interview was this morning on September 12 in Ottawa at 8 AM. I was there at 7:30. Security let us in at 7:40 AM. Once you enter, your passport, DS-160 and appointment is verified and you go through security. For those who have keys, watch etc on them, they hold on to those and give you a token. You can collect them at the end of the interview.

Once you clear security, you are directed to a counter to check-in , verify your documents (passport, ds-160, original I-797A) and get your fingerprints. If you have corrections on your application, this is where they help you to correct (i filled 5 years for intended length of stay by mistake instead of 3, the lady was very helpful to correct it for me). Once done, you will enter the line for interview. The interview was simple and was only 2 minutes. Below are the questions:

1. Do you work for XYZ company?
2. How long have you been working for them?
3. What is your highest level of education you have completed? Was that in United States?
4. Was your masters course based or research based?
5. Do you have any family in US?

VO said my visa is approved and i should get my passport in 2-3 business days. Hope that i get my passport back on Wednesday. Remember one thing, keep your answers short and answer with confident. All the questions are based on what you filled out on your DS-160 form. No documents were asked during my interview, but to be on the safe side, i had the following documents on hand:

1. Original I-797A for H1b
2. Copy of the I-140 Approval
3. Paystubs
4. W2s
5. Masters degrees
6. Recent bank statements
7. Recent Utility bill
8. Old passports (if you had your previous visa on old passport)
9. Recent passport size photo (is a must)

Its always best to over pack because you wouldn't know what documents will be asked. Good luck to everyone who has their visa interview in the near future. Let me know if you have any questions.
