Anxious April Filer, NYC
Hey Everyone!

I frequently read updates on this forum but this is will be my first post. I applied for AOS based on marriage to a USC in April (mailed everything off in March but it was received April 6th) my online status still says "Case was received". The only updates I have gotten was when they corrected the spelling of my name which was July 30th and an email saying my case was undergoing "initial review", unsure what that means. I have read that NYC has an average wait of 218 days to scheduled for an interview which is absolutely insane given that in other parts of the country people complete the entire process in 6 months to year.

Here's my timeline:

Married USC: Dec 21
Mailed documents: March 31
Received: April 6
Fingerprint fee received: April 9
PRIORITY DATE: April 6
Biometrics appointment received: April 29 for May 11
Completed biometrics as a walk-in: May 3
Name updated: July 30
Initial Review emailed received: August 7th

Are there any other NYC filers or April filers out there that have gotten any updates? Does it make any sense to call or do an infopass?

Wishing us all the best of luck on this arduous journey!
