Got my physical green card :) NYC
Hey everyone just an update I got my physical green card in hands now. So happy :) finally finally finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote a very long detailed interview description if interested look at my other post.

1.08.2016: married
1.22.2016: sent
1.28.2016 PD
2.04.2016 check cashed
2.23.2016 Bio metric appoint done ( finger print + pictures)
3.15.2016" as of march 15 2016, we are ready to schedule your appointment ".. the wait begins
4.06.2016 EAD/AP in the mail ( wait begins again)
8.05.2016 "on august 5th we schedule you for your interview and mailed the notice .. interview is on September 8th 2016"
9.08.2016 marriage interview federal plaza nyc 4th floor- at 12;45 came early and started at 11;45. approved on the spot
9.08.2016 1pm status changed card was ordered in production
9.08.2016 4pm status changed again - welcome letter and approval was mailed out to me
9.13.2016 welcome letter was received in the mail and status changed again - card was mailed out if don't receive by oct 13 contact uscis ( no tracking number was given)
9.19.2016 - green card was in my hands :)

the whole process was roughly 8 months. Even though many people at nyc took longer than a year, I think it is case by case. Some people get instant approval some have to wait 60 days. Every case is different just relaxed and be patient :) My lawyer thought it would take me at least 10-11 months too and he was wrong. If your love is real they will see it don't worry :) Good luck everyone!! message me if you need help! I am really grateful for this website, it helped me a lot.

background information husband is USC born in Hawaii and parents born here too. I am Chinese Canadian was on F1 VISA until i graduated college in 2015 then went on opt and we got married.
