RFE Request for Initital Evidence
I filed I485 Adjustment of Status last August. Biometrics done last September. I received a letter from USCIS saying: "Based on the documents submitted with Form I864 Affidavit of Support, for the joint sponsor, the income did not meet 125% of the poverty guideline for the joint sponsor's household size. Submit evidence of assets..."
"If you decide to obtain a joint sponsor they will need to file form I864....."

I don't know if we filled up the household size correctly but they put "5" : me, my husband, his mother (joint sponsor), father, and younger brother.

My father in law is losing his current job right now so he cannot help and it seems like they don't want to assist or help us in this RFE.

We don't know anyone who can help us to become a new joint sponsor.

Can my assets help like for example my bank statements? However my current balance is $4,200 if converted to dollars. Would it be sufficient?

Me and my husband are feeling down. The RFE looked simple only if my inlaws will cooperate but they aren't. They said so I will just go back to my own country.

Please enlighten me.
