I-485 - Still waiting for biometrics notice
Hi,
I am still waiting for my biometrics notice. I submitted my application for I-485. I received the I-797C, my notice date is Aug 18th, 2016 and received/priority date is Aug 10th, 2016. As it's been well over 30 days, I called customer service and submitted an inquiry. They issued me a referral number and asked to check back in another 15-30 days.
I'm still worried, why an appointment letter for biometrics is taken so long. I check the online status of my file everyday and it still says "fingerprints fee was received." There have been no updates.
I am also worried if my biometrics appointment letter got lost in the mail? I have read online that it has happened to people before. Could that be a possibility? Also have a question to someone who's gone through this process recently:
1. Once you received your biometrics appointment for I-485, did you receive an update online? Could you see the notice online? If that is the case, then that's good, and I won't keep worrying if my letter has been lost in the mail.
