Change of Status F1 - H1b Stamping in Ottawa
Good Morning All, I want to share my H1b visa interview experience at Ottawa Canada.

I am currently doing my second masters as i was not selected in Lottery last year. This year i got selected and came to Canada for h1b stamping as i couldn't find any dates in India for the next 3 months.

Interview at 8.30 am est. Reached Embassy at 8 am est. The security personal let me in at 8.15 verifying the DS-160 confirmation.

Went in and a lady asked to provide passport, DS-160, I -797 and Photos. She verified and affixed a sticker on the passport and asked to go through security clearance.

After security clearance, reached the counter to take finger prints and then was on line for the interview.

VO: Good Morning, please pass your passport and DS-160
me: Good Morning, Gave the documents
VO: What visa are you currently in
me: I am in F1 visa, came to get my H1b Visa
VO: Where do you work and what is your role and explain your duties

me: No mam, just coursework
VO: did you write any comprehensive exam
me: Yes mam (was typing in the computer for most part of the conversation)
VO: You don't require further administrative processing. You will get your passport in 2-3 business days.
me: Thank you.

Was out of the embassy by 8.50. The only document that the VO asked was my MS transcript.

Good Luck to Everyone.
