Visitor Visa - B2

I am Nabeel a Sri Lankan national who live in Dubai since 2007. My salary is AED 12690 (US $ 3454.99). I am working as a Senior Network Engineer for Makita since 2007. I had bank balance around AED 32000 (US $ 8712.34). I have traveled to UK, Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy with my family in Sep 2016.

I applied for tourist and the interview was on 05th Oct 2016 BUSINESS & TOURISM (TEMPORARY VISITOR)
(B1/B2) from Dubai consulate today.

Me: Good Morning

V.O Can I have the passport sir
Me: Gave 3 passports, mine, my wifes and son (My wife holds an Indian passport)

V.O Why traveling to US
Me: to celebrate X Mas and new year (As we planned 15 days from 20th Dec to 4th Jan)

V.O what are the countries you have visited
Me: Explained, Inc UK the European countries

V.O how many years you are in Dubai
Me: 9 years

V.O same question from my wife
Me. 7 years

V.O can I have your bank statement pls
Me: Gave the bank statement along with the company letter and salary slips

V.O after looking at the bank statement, again how many year you said you are living
Me: 9 years madam

V.O typed around 1 min
V.O sorry your visa has been rejected

What could be the reason our visa got rejected still we are confused?
Long years in Dubai, salary is also not bad, bank balance Aed 32000, traveled many countries including UK.

Now I am applying alone and interview on 1st Oct since I cant take a risk of applying with family.

Current bank balance is AED 29000 now, my salary will transfer on 25th then I can show around AED 50000 in my account including the money which I have in my other account also I will transfer to this account (My salary transfer account).

We think the problem was with funds as the VO checked only the bank statement.

Please advice what could be the exact issue for the visa rejection and what is the advice for my interview on 1st Nov.
