AOS Interview Houston-Approved on the spot
Hey guys,

My PD is September 8, 2015. I had my interview yesterday in Houston and we got approved on the spot.
Our interview was at 8:45am. We got there by 8:15 and were called in at 10am. The interview lasted for about 45 minutes. Basic questions about our relationship and the I-485 yes/no questions. Some words of advise:

1. Make sure you take all your updated forms like G325 (if anything has changed)
2. Take lots of pictures. They love looking at pics over any document.
3. Take your updated I-864 if it has been over 1 year. Also, CDC changed the requirements on August 1, 2016. You're now required to be tested for Gonorrhea as well. Make sure your I-864 includes blood work reports for Syphillis and Gonorrhea. The officer that interviewed us told me that he had interviewed 3 couples before us and issued an RFE to all of them for not showing up with updated medical records. One of them did, but, they did not have Gonorrhea testing included. We were very well prepared and had it. A lot of doctors in Houston are not even aware of this requirement. So, make sure that you ask them specifically to test for it.

Other than that, it was fairly straight forward. We were approved on the spot and I got a letter for the same. My online status changed in under 15 mins of the interview and the new card is being produced now. Not sure how long it will take for me to get the card in mail. Any of you have an estimate on how long it would take?

Cheers and good luck to you all!
