Hi everyone.
I just want to encourage people who are wondering about their case when they don't hear from USCIS for months.
Don't wait months after months without at least going to an Infopass once a months or 2 months.
My experience : On August 9, I had an interview scheduled for September 14. On August 17, they cancelled my interview and sent me a letter telling me to wait another notice with a new appointment.
The problem is: I didn't hear from USCIS for 2 months. I was worrying and even more when some people from Seattle with the same Priority date were having their interview scheduled. I was checking my status online every single day, nothing was updated.
Then I took an appointment for INFOPASS set up on October 21. I went to USCIS to find out that my interview was scheduled for the end of October. They are really nice in Seattle office and they help a lot. They gave me the details of my appointment and told me to wait the notice in the mail.
I'm still waiting for my appointment notice. My online status didn't change. But the good new is I already know when is my appointment and I can get there even if I don't have the notice as long I have my EAD and ID and other first notices.
So just to tell you : don't wait when you feel like it's taking weirdly long and have no news or online update. If you wait, you might miss an important information or appointment.
After your interview, if you don't have news, don't wait months and months. Make an Infopass.
