10/24/2016 – Interview Officer was really nice. Before I started my interview I had to swear to tell the truth. Then my N-400 application was reviewed.

Next I was given a reading test. I was asked to read from a sheet of paper, “How many U.S. Senators are there?

Next I was given a writen test. I was read the following statement and told to transpose it. – “We have one hundred U.S. Senators.”

Then I was asked to answer the following questions -:

1) What is the name of the national anthem?

2) How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?

3) What is the “rule of law”?

4) What ocean is on the West Coast of the United States?

5) What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States?

6) Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

Once I correctly answered the above questions, the Immigration Officer congratulated me and gave me form N-652 (Naturalization Interview Results). This form basically told me that I passed the test of English and US History and Government. It also congratulated me and stated my application was recommended for approval.

Because Baltimore no longer does same day swearing in ceremonies, the officer read off a list of dates and times from which I was allowed to make a selection. I selected Wednesday, October 26, 2016. The Officer then handed me form N-445, “Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony”. This form consists of eight of questions that must be answered prior to the ceremony. The form will be collected at the ceremony.

Overall I had a very pleasant experience.
