Worried about using my advance parole/ Denver Office
Hello All,

I got my advance parole/ EAD card in September after applying for marriage-based adjustment of status (still waiting for my interview scheduling). I'll be traveling this December for my traditional wedding but I'm not sure if I'll be allowed back in the country.

I came in through F1 student visa and before the completion of my OPT, I got accepted into a PhD program.

I have since remained in the country and I'm still working on completing my program.

Even though I am not here illegally as I've continued to maintain my student status through valid I-20, I am scared that I may not be allowed back in the country since my student visa expired a long time ago.

Although I've been told that I can come back with my advance parole, I don't just want to risk it.

I would appreciate any opinion on this.

Thanks!
