AOS Interview Approved on Spot, Houston
PD: Sept 17, 2015

I and my wife (USC) had our AOS interview today.

Interview time : 7:15 AM
Field Office: Houston

We entered the office building at 7:10 AM and went through security. We were called by IO at 7:30 AM. IO was a very nice goofy looking gentleman from Chicago. He was very polite and funny. He swore us in, opened my file and asked for my and my wife’s passport and ID.

First thing he said was everything looks good except the medical exam (I693). My attorney said that I have done it before Aug 1 and I handed over the I693 sealed envelope to the IO. He opened it and did some work on computer, added the medical to my file and asked me yes/no questions. He was joking while asking these questions. Then he went outside the room and came back in and did some more work on his computer and my file. He went out again the third time to call his supervisor and while we were waiting me, my wife and my attorney were talking about pets and after the IO returned he told us few funny stories about his blind pet cat who would run into stuffs while playing. I handed my wedding album to IO (even though he never asked for) and IO asked who’s this lady and I said my sister in law. In the meantime the supervisor shows up and signed some paper.

After that he did some work on my file, computer and finally printed approval notice, signed and said you will get your GC in 3 weeks. We were in his room for 50 mins and he never asked me or my wife a single question about our wedding.

Later I checked my email and online status it says “Case is Approved”

Good luck to everyone!
