Hi everyone, this has been such a helpful forum -- and I hope someone here can help me.
Typically, how long does it take to produce the EAD card and get it into the mail? My EAD card was in production as of Nov. 7, according to the USCIS case tracker, but no update since. My lawyers told me that production of my card was being expedited but judging from what I have read on this forum, it seems it should've been finished by now. And does the website usually get updated to reflect that the card has been mailed? My case is being handled at the National Benefits Center in Missouri.
I am especially impatient and distressed because I currently am employed (I have been at my company for more than seven years) and have had to take an unpaid leave of absence because of this issue during an incredibly busy time in my profession. (also, losing pay is not fun). Have others here had to take unpaid leave from their jobs because of EAD issues? My bosses have been very supportive and understanding, but I'm worried their patience isn't unlimited and I will be let go, particularly if it continues to take so long to produce my EAD and mail it out to me.
