Nov 16 2016- Interview 9.30am.
My husband and I got there 9.25am, our lawyer was there before us. He told us to be calm, there where other people and that they were moving fast. At exactly 10.04am my husband was called, he went in with the lawyer. 20mins later he came out and i was called in by the I.O He was such a nice guy. Got in the office, i swore an oath. Then he started with the questions: How i met my husband, where does he work, how much is our rent, who do we live with, where do we do our laundry, does my husband have children, how many, have i met anyone of them, have i met his family, has he met my family, have they spoken before. What we had for breakfast, what type of breakfast, when was the last time my husband had a day off at work, Am i working???????????????
All the while he was marking the questions off the list he has with him, i assume they were the questions he asked my husband before. He asked to see our photo album, asked me to identify faces in the pictures and also where the pictures were taken. Then he asked all the questions from the I485 form, confirmed my name date of birth, parents name. Then he said he was done, my lawyer asked if we were approved he said yes and that he will update my case Status. It was more of a chit chat, the I.O was really nice and friendly.
When we got out our lawyer said, we did really good. Our card will be for 2yrs since we are married for less than 2 years, and that some months before it expires, file back to remove the conditions on it.
To everyone who still have their cases pending and also with interview dates already, wish you all the best. If your marriage is real, there is nothing to worry about. Be prayerful and be prepared. All the best.
When i got home i received a mail, case appeoved and new card ordered.
