Marriage based green card
I have been a silent reader for a few months . This site has been so helpful to me and my husband . Below is a detailed description of my timeline .
We submitted all the required form for a green card and work authorization card.
Married 4/15/16
PD 6/14/16
Biometric done 7/11/16
Ready to be scheduled for interview 8/19/16
EAP approved on 8/19/16
Card received 8/24/16
Apply for social card on 8/25/16
Social card received on 8/31/16
On 10/19/16 interview has been scheduled for 11/22/16
We arrived at the interview at 8:50. Our oppointment was for 9:00am
The reception who signed us is asked for our supporting documents prior to be called in
By the IO.
The officer called us in at 9:15. He grilled my husband(immigrant) for almost an hour.
He asked my husband my name, DOB, how did I become a citizen.
How long I lived at my address , where I worked currently , where I use to work .
How much did I receive from my 2015 tax refund ... what church do I attend ...what company do we use for our gas and electric bill.
How much money I make , what is my job title . I can't remember all the questions .
The didn't really ask anything about our marriage , only how we met. We did not get approved on the spot.
The officer who interviewed us was the worse . He was grumpy, didn't smile not once . Grilled us for 1 hour straight he look at only 3 of our photos and didn't take any.
He told a us that they would contact us if they require any additional info.
I will keep you guys posted if I hear anything regarding approval.
