I have been following this forum since earlier this year. I will like to share part of my timeline.
I came to the US on F1 back in 2008. Completed my Bachelor and Master degree. Did a year of OPT. I got married to a US resident (Greencard holder) in Feb 2015.
07/08/15 - We submitted I130
09/14/15 - Received a letter for RFE.
11/04/15 - Received I130 approval with PD 07/08/2015
10/20/16 - Submitted I485 and I765
11/02/16 - Check Cashed
11/09/16 - Received receipt of I485 and I765
11/25/16 - Biometrics appointment
Currently i am still using my F1 visa to stay in status. In Jan 2017, My F1 is due for renew. I am wondering if i should still continue with my F1 or with the I485 in process i am consider "in-status"? Base on other applicants in this forum, the EAD usually takes 30 to 60 days to arrive. Since the holiday is coming up, i am pretty sure the processing time will be slow down. I just don't want to get deny at the interview due to a simple mistake.
Any past experience will be highly appreciated.
