Our Timeline (Houston)
I've been meaning to do this for a long time. This website helped me tremendously and it's only right that I give to others in the same way that others gave to me in my efforts to have a family and build a home with my husband in the US. I'm a US citizen.

August 31, 2015 - Sent AOS Packets
September 1, 2015 - Delivered and signed by USCIS staff member
September 7, 2015 - Notice of receipt via text and email
September 21, 2015 - Biometrics appointment
September 24, 2015 - Online status changed to "Your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"
October 30, 2015 - EAD approved and arrived four days later in mail
March 2015 - Inquired about case because I felt like it was taking too long and received a message stating that , "Your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." So, the inquiry was not much help.
May 16, 201 - Applied for Advance Parole (my husband and I had a trip planned back to his home country to visit his mother)
June 1, 2016 - Advance Parole approved and document came in the mail three days later
July 2016 - My husband and I travelled internationally and made it safely past CBP when we arrived back in the US. He used his Advance Parole. The IO asked us were we married, we said yes, she verified his pending AOS status in the system, stamped his passport, and sent us on our way.
September 2015 - Application sent for EAD renewal
September 20, 2016 - Letter for interview arrived in the mail
October 20, 2016 - Showed up for interview (we took everything we could that had both of our names and photos). The IO took it all and we were approved on the spot.
October 26, 2016 - My husband's green card arrived in the mail.

Overall, our process took 13 months. We never received an RFE. We did not have a lawyer. We read and watched videos online to learn about everything we needed to do. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have questions.
