EAD/combo card timeline
Hi all, happy Thanksgiving! Just want to share my EAD timeline (based on pending I-485). Thanks to those who answered my questions and shared my stress. Will update again when interview is scheduled.

Married USC, Indiana. We did the application with the help of an immigration attorney since my previous employer messed up my H1B and forced me to resign earlier than we agreed. As a result I became temporarily "out of status" and wasn't sure how to complete some of the questions on the forms.

Sep 15: Package arrived at Chicago (130, 485, 765, 131)
Sep 22: Fingerprints fee received (online status)
Sep 28: Received 797 receipts in mail
Oct 7: Received notice for biometrics
Oct 21: Biometrics
Oct 26: I-485 online status changed to ready to schedule an interview
Nov 16 afternoon: I-765 online status changed to "we ordered your new card"
Nov 16 evening: I-765 and I-131 online status changed to "case was approved" (I was confused at first but it turns out that this is normal)
Nov 21: Received approval notice for 765 and 131 in mail
Nov 22 morning: I-765 changed to "we mailed your card"
Nov 22 afternoon: I-765 changed to "card was picked up by USPS", with a tracking number for priority mail
Nov 26: combo card received. (I should add that after I got the tracking number, I went to USPS website and registered an account. Under delivery instructions I checked "leave in/at mailbox" if no one is home. Not sure if this was absolutely necessary but I did it just to be safe. I have heard some cases that the mail was returned to USCIS if no one was there to sign.)
