Request for new Medical Exam
Hi Good people, does anybody know if a decision can be made on the spot when you turn in additional information (medical exam results)? I was asked to submit a new one when I went for an info pass two weeks ago, because my old one expired in October. The IO said if I had brought a new one to the appointment, he would have approved it right there, because everything else was fine.
I am trying to avoid a situation where you leave the information, and they take their sweet time to process it. I have waited long enough. My PD is October 20, 2015, and I had my interview on March 21, 2016. I would like to travel with my family for Christmas, but I do not have Advance Parole document, so I really need to get this approved before then.
I have an info pass appointment on Thursday, but the letter that came with the request for information said I can bring it in when ready, so my question is, which one is best? Go before the appointment, or wait to bring it to the appointment?
My field office is Atlanta.
