Traveling with DACA AP
I went to Honduras with AP I received my approval about 2 and a half months after submitting it. I traveled for humanitarian reasons. I was there for 13 days and all I can say is I'm so glad to be back in the US. Honduras is a real mes and I just felt like I didn't belong there, I don't think I will ever travel on AP again even though I had no trouble getting back in the US the whole experience is just to much to go trough again. After landing at Miami International Airport I went to the visitors room for CBP inspection the firts officer asked me for my paper work and asked me how long I stayed in Honduras then took all my finger prints and a picture he said to wait a few minutes and someone else would call me about 3 minutes later another officer called me and took me in to a different room where there was a lot of people waiting. I sat there for almost two hours the second officer reviewing my paper work called me and ask me for my work permit card and I handed it to him. Told me to go sit again I was really nervous I had already lost my connecting flight and the officer was taking a long time reviewing my stuff. After about two and a half hours he called me and asked the reason of my visit to Honduras I told him My dad was no doing well I went to see him. He then said here is your EAD card and your passport I had stamped it and paroled you into the US you may got to the third window and give this to the other officer it was kind of a receipt. I went up to the other window and the officer just said thank you exit to your left and find your baggage. I was so relieved then. I had miss my flight but I wasn't to concerned at the moment I felt like I was home. Went to American Airlines to see if I could get another flight and they said it would have to be until the next day. So I went outside to breath some fresh air and that was the best feeling ive had in a while. Then I grab a cab and told him to take me to a hotel since I didn't wanna wait 12 hours until my next flight. We should all be thank full of being in this great Country that's all I can say and if you really need to go out with AP do it but be prepared for the stress when coming back, I guess most people don't have any problems as long as you have not done any crimes the officers will let you in even though they take their time to stamp your passport.
