AOS for Conditional GC vs 10 years Permanent GC
HI everyone,

I am an F-1 student, currently in OPT. I live in East lansing, MI. Spartans,. I would like to share my timeline and pose my question

May 13 2015- Got married to U.S citizen

October 25 2016- please note its 2016 ( after 1 year and 4 months of my marriage) applied for AOS GC through my wife to Chicago office

October 27- My PD

December 2nd 2016- My biometrics appt in Kentwood, MI

November 23 2016- A day before thanksgiving , I Did walk in at Kentwood and it was successful ( it was empty, clean and nice people) May be it was empty because I went around 2pm. I have literally not said a word, just did what they ask. It was quick 15 min thingy.

As of today Dec 9 2016- My online status remained as it is- Fingerprint fee received (I-485) and case was received ( I-765)

I am not worried about online status change since many here say that online status is not reliable. I have given myself 90-100 days from PD to determine what the heck is going on. Holiday season should be a great factor anyway for the slow process.

My big curiosity is the confusion regarding conditional green card thing. Some they say it is a myth. Well here it comes, since I am already married for more than a year now but less than two. My real question is that what if I get scheduled by mid Feb or March and hopefully approved, would my 1 year and 10 months of marriage count toward removing my conditional green card. Also, for the sake of my curiosity, I really want a valid answer for this- Is it true that there are filers who were interviewed after 2 years of marriage that they were approved for straight 10 year card permanent GC? If yes what about my situation which is almost close to two years. I have read where people say yes and many say NO. Its confusing. Every side has valid points tbh.

What do you think guys? Please help. Thanks
