Interview on December 8th - Approved on Spot
So this forum has definitely helped me throughout my journey with getting to this point and I always looked forward to seeing someone talk about their experience especially with the interview.

My priority date was on April 21st and my interview was scheduled on November 3rd to be held in Tampa office at 1:15 PM. The day did not start off good because my wife and I got to the USCIS office 1:10 PM and rushed to get in. Fortunately for us nobody was there and we went through security pretty fast and got our ticket number. We then proceeded into the waiting room where we saw a few couples waiting just like us. We waited for about 30 minutes before a male officer came and I called our number. We went towards him and he greeted us and told us to follow him. We entered the office and we were shocked to see another office sitting down in there. The first officer then went on to explain to us that he is still in training and that the other officer was his supervisor and that they would both be conducting our interview. After explaining everything, he then swore us in and told us to have a seat. I was quite nervous but my wife seemed very calm. Both the officers started to go through our file and asked questions at random intervals but the trainee was taking lead with just verifying information. He asked me what was my wife's name, birthday, where she lived and where was born. He then asked my wife the same set of questions and then went on to ask how we met, where we got married, who proposed, how many guests were there, why did I decide to propose to her, her mother's name and also asked my wife my mother's name and when we last enter the U.S. Other than that the interview was pretty smooth with them asking the yes and no questions that is on the form and making jokes about me hitting the jackpot with my mother in law who prepared all the forms and was our sponsor since we are still students in college. After all this, he then asked if we had anymore information that could show that we have a real marriage. I came very prepared with a big stack of evidence which I organized and then gave all to him. He briefly went through it and asked if he could keep them or not and I told him it was all his. The supervisor then took over and told us that he will be the one approving the case and he is happy to tell us that he thinks we are the perfect couple and he is approving on the spot. He printed out a paper and told me to expect my greencard in the mail within the next two to three weeks and if I don't receive it I should call the office. I was so happy that he approved us on spot and it went much better than I could imagine. The interview lasted for a maximum of maybe 20 minutes and we left happily on our way. The only concern I had was that he did not tell me what kind of greencard it was but I decided not to ask and just wait to see what came in the mail. I hope this will help some of you that is watching this forum on a daily basis such as myself. If you have any questions please feel free to message me and ask me because I still visit this website on a daily basis out of the habit that I have developed when I was waiting.
