Still waiting for interview
I just want to share my experiences so far. I applied for adjustment of status and my husband petitioned me.we got a lawyer which cost us $3000. Too much money I know. And we're still paying for it.
My pd is August 2016
Biometrics is done September.
By the end of October they issued my work authorization card which I got sometime November and then I applied for ssn which I got a week after. I was also able to apply for California id. But since my work authorization is valid for a year only my id will also expire in a year.
I'm still waiting for my interview schedule. The website said its ready for interview schedule since October.
I'm still compiling supporting documents. Almost everything is under my husband's name and they wouldn't let my name be added as a joint account holder only an authorized user.
I'll update whatever happens.
