Chicago center experience.. (Still pending)
Hello Everyone,

I have been reading the forum a lot to reassure myself (or to stress for no reason) so I thought I would share my experience!

I live in Chicago so I submitted to Chicago and I have a valid H1B Visa. My wife is US citizen and I have a dual citizenship (France/Morocco). living in Chicago for 6 years and Married for 2 years +. No kids but Mortgage and both with high paid jobs (for the context as I have a question regarding the interview).
Did not use a lawyer as I thought the case was simple enough..

-09/29/216: Sent documents (I485 I130 and I765) + medical tests + pictures + Tax returns and W2 + Original of marriage + Original of my wife's birth certificate and a copy of mine.
- 10/03/2016: PD. Received text messages + mail with case numbers.
- 10/14/2016: Received notification that fingerprint fees were accepted
- 11/09/2016: Appointment for fingerprints in Chicago location
- 11/21/2016: Notification that my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview (I485)
- 12/16/2016: Notification that my case was approved (I765)
- 12/16/2016: Notification that my card was ordered (I765)
- 12/21/2016: Notification that my card was mailed to me (I765)
- 12/26/2016: Received by mail my EAD card valid for one year (from 12/16/2016 to 12/15/2017).

So now I am still waiting for the interview appointment... Did anyone from the Chicago field office get the interview scheduled recently? From their website, they show that they are still processing 26th April 2016 but the information was not updated since 10/31/2016..

Also, at my medical exam, the forgot to do one test (so they called me back after I had already sent all the documents) and they gave me an additional test to bring to the interview. However, I did not receive any RFE. Should I still send it by mail or should I just bring it at the interview.
And finally, I originally sent a copy of my French birth certificate. But I cannot find an original. I however have an original copy of my Moroccan birth certificate and a notarized translation. Is it ok if I bring that document...

Kind of stressed out because I travel a lot internationally for work and I am afraid that they may schedule the appointment while I am on business travel (next one is from 03/24 to 04/08)... I am starting to wonder if I should postpone it...

Thanks!!
