I got 10 year gc (non conditional) because I applied 2 years after the marriage (my marriage place was out side of the USA)
As and advice for green card interview , bring lots of pictures (even you submit them with application. (they lost ours , I was lucky and brought some with me damn I was lucky.
Be relax at the interview and DONT LIE again DONT lie, just say you dont remember , If you forget something. be honest. mine interview took 1 hour 15 minutes. they ask basic questions, how you met, what do you do and stuff like that nothing tricky and some procedure questions thats all. ( memorize at least your wifes and kids birthdays lol and your marriage day) bring pictures of your wedding and your family pictures with your kid and more supportive updated document which BOTH of your name stated. our officer was a kind gentleman.
If your case doesnt have any complication, you absolutely dont need to bring your lawyer with you. (save 400-500 bucks lol)
If you change your address during the AOS , dont forget to change your address for each case (765, 485. 130 ... etc)
Be patient, you probably read lots of different BIG problem cases here but they represent only 1 percent, so put yourself to other normal 99 percent, I know it is all stressful but believe me system works smoothly for the big majority of the people. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.
