Advance Parole and H1B extension still in process
Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding Advance Parole and travel outside the U.S. As far as I understand, once AP is approved one can travel abroad and come back to the U.S. without any problem. Now, in my case I currently have an expired H1B visa and am waiting for an extension of that visa while at the same time I am waiting for the EA/AP/130/145 applications to be processed. I should be receiving that EA/AP card pretty soon (maybe within 1 or 2 weeks, based on processing times).

I have read experiences posted by other people here where they traveled abroad while having their H1B visas (current) and the AP too and the immigration officers only asked them questions regarding their work and their H1B visa, not paying attention to their Advance Parole documents! I am planning on traveling to my home country as soon as I get the EA/AP combo card but do not want to risk having trouble when reentering the country. What do you suggest I should do? It would be particularly useful to hear from someone who has been in the same situation as I am.
