Help
Hello Everyone,

I applied for Advance Parole on October 13, 2016 with the intention to travel to Mexico and reenter legally. I was told the wait time was set at anywhere from 3 months to possibly more. I was in no rush and we all had no idea the angry cheeto would actually win. Anyway, my aunt who has advanced cancer requested to see me, because in her words she felt the battle was lost. I then proceeded to call USCIS and request that my application be considered for expedited processing. I have this timeline as follows:

12/21/2016

On December 21, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, was completed.
12/19/2016

On December 19, 2016, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number
12/19/2016

On December 19, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number, was assigned to an officer for response.

I was told It would take 5 days but here we are 22 days later and my status has not changed from my case was received. I followed suggestions posted by others here, I even sought out assistance from my congressman. The assistant doesn't know how to exactly how to help me, so i have given up on that. My problem is that I am in my last semester of college and the longer I wait the slimmer my chances are of being able to fly out to Mexico to see her. Apart from school I work day and night so once my classes really starts it will be almost impossible to ask for time off. Does anyone have any advice for me? Anything would be appreciated.
