New Orleans GC Interview
So today was the interview date, went to the office 30 minutes early because parking is a nightmare and with a file of evidence under my arm up we went.
We checked in at the desk and waited, my name was called at 11:45 and we were led into an office. The officer was welcoming, friendly and a pleasure to interview with. He swore us in before we sat and the interview began.
Me asked for our IDs ,our date of birth and then proceed to start paging through our file. Made a joke about how i spelled the street name wrong and we shared that joke. He proceeded to ask questions, we both had previous marriages and my wife married the same guy twice but we didn't include the first divorce decree, she married the same guy twice because they had a child together and she wanted to try family together again.
The officer then went through the I 485 yes/no questions to verify the answers i had given. He then explained that we would need to present the first divorce decree but he had no hesitation in approving us.
We managed to find a copy and i dropped it off in the afternoon and now i wait!
The interview was pleasant and not stressful at all.
So now i wait 2 weeks and i will have my GC!
