Marriage Based AOS - Post Interview
Hey everyone,
I already shared our experience from filing until the interview, but now I know that the time after interview continues to cause anxiety! Our interview was on November 28, 2016, where the IO "recommended" the application be approved. From then on, nothing happened until January 4, 2017.
01/04/17 - Status changes to "We approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status." Later that day, status becomes "We ordered your new card"
01/05/17 - Status updates to "We mailed you an approval notice."
01/09/17 - We received the approval notice in the mail. Later that day, status changes to "We have mailed your new card to the address you provided."
01/11/17 - Card arrives in the mail!!!
Of course, I can not explain how great my wife or I are feeling, but especially her. She gets to visit home now. Anyways, be patient that the card will get to you eventually. Good luck!
