** I130 and I485 application rejected** urgent
Hi Guys, I am new to this forum and need your help.
I filed a i130 and i485 for my wife and step son on the 23rd December 2016 but forgot to include the biometrics fee. The application was returned to us today and there are i797c's attached to each form.
On the i130 the i797 c says: your i130, fees, and supporting documents are been returned to you because of the following reasons.
The payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided
One or more of the applications in the package you submitted were unacceptable for the reasons specified on the related notices of action form i797. Please correct and refile.
On the same i797 form it says " Based on the information you provided , your priority date does not appear to be correct. Please refer to the Visa Bulletin published monthly by the US department of State to determine the availability of immigrant visa numbers in your immigration category. When your priority date is earlier than the correlating cut off date listed in the current visa bulletin, you will then be eligible to submit your i485 application.
I don't understand what this means as my wife and stepson is my immediate relative therefore they should not have to wait for visa numbers to become available.
Can anyone help...?
They also said that I have to attach one check per application for the exact fee amount. I initially sent postal orders for the fees which totalled the entire application cost except for the biometrics fee which I forgot to include. I did not know that it had to be separate money orders. The post office will not do one money order for over $1000 so I will have to write several personal checks.
