GC received!
Hi everyone, all your experiences posted here are really helpful, so I want to share ours.

Local field office: Queens, NYC
I (GC holder, the petitioner)
My husband (the applicant, F1 student, always maintains good status)
Since I'm a GC holder, we have to file I130 and I485 separately.

11/2014 – filed I130 (PD for I130)
4/2015 - I130 approved
Waiting for I130 PD become current to file I485. 10/2015, a new chart (chart B) published allowed us to file I485 before I130 PD became current.

At this point, our journey to GC should be the same as others married to USC as long as I130 PD becomes current before the interview.

Timeline:
11/2015 - filed I485, I765, I131 together (PD for I485)
12/2015 - biometrics done
2/2016 - EAD and AP received
12/2016 - Interview notice received (Online status always showed FP fee received, not changed to ready for interview. After 13 months waiting, interview notice was received in mail. Two days later, text message was received and online status was updated. People usually get email or text before the mail.)
1/2017 - Interview completed (After the interview, online status didn’t change. 4 days later, it changed to ‘card is being produced’. Email alert was received, but no text message.)
Today - GC is received. (10 years GC since we have been married over 3 years)

Process time: The process from I485 filed to GC received takes 14 months. It’s a long wait for a NYC filer (usually 8-10 months in NYC). I think it’s because I130 PD was not moving for a few months. I130 PD should be current for the interview scheduled.

Requests: While waiting for the interview notice, I called the customer service and made one online service request, also went to one InfoPass. All responses got were asking us to wait, not sure whether they really helped or not.

Interview date: business causal dress, arrived 30 minutes early, just my husband and I (we filed all applications at a law office, but we thought our case was not so complicate, so we didn’t bring the lawyer to the interview) Don’t be nervous, relax!

A nice lady interviewed us. All questions asked were general and straightforward questions about names, dates, address, work and study and some questions on the application form. Any real couple should be able to answer them with some preparations. The interview lasted about 20-30 minutes. At the end of the interview, she said we should receive the decision letter in 2-3 weeks. I asked ‘is my husband approved’, she responded ‘yes, but I still need to make the final determination”, not gave us any paper. We were a little disappointed, not sure whether it meant he was approved on spot, but I was confident since we had a good interview.

Documents prepared:

1. Birth certificates for my husband, me and our child
2. Marriage certificate
3. My GC, his EAD and I94 and all I20s, our passports, SSN cards, driver licenses
4. Pay stubs, employment letter, most recent 3 years W2 and tax return transcripts
5. Car insurance policy, medical insurance cards or letters with both our names
6. Checking account and credit card statements with our names
7. Cellphone bill with our numbers
8. 401K statements with my husband as the beneficiary
9. Updated medical form (the old one was expired)
10. One album over 100 photos of us with friends and family

The lady didn’t look all documents, but I made copies to all originals, labeled everything. She just took the pile of all copies and no need to copy anything during the interview.

We’re so happy now as his journey to obtain the GC is complete today. A new and happy life starts for us. I hope our experience could be some helps to others and wish everyone here will hear some good news soon! Good luck!
