Unusual process time
Dear all,
I am holding H1B . I've applied for EB2 but I am waiting for a very long time for my I-485 to be approved (same situation for my husband). I got married in June 2015. My husband was on F1 visa (student visa) when we got married. My company has sponsored my green card and my husband is getting GC as a beneficiary. Below are the dates for each stage .
Sep 10, 2015: PERM approved
January 16, 2016: EAD Card received
April, 2016: I-140 approved
June 2016: Notice for interview (I believe they wanted to see my husband's status and also make sure we are married for real!!!!)
July, 2016: We went for interview
During interview the officer was nice and I believe convinced about our marriage. She said I cannot let you know about my decision right away as we have not received the final results from FBI check.
Oct 2016: applying for EAD card renewal!!!
Jan 2017: NEW EAD CARD receieved
and NO NEWS about our green cards!!!!!
Does anyone has a miserable situation like us? I believe it is taking so long in a very unusual way.
Any advice will be appreciated.
