Interview taking too long :(
Hi everyone,
I am new to the site and I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Wanted to share a few details of my case to get advice or if someone has a similar case.
MSC
I'm American my husband is Egyptian
We mailed the I-765 and I-485 on June 18.
It was received June 21.
Biometrics apt was scheduled for July 13
I-485 was ready for interview Aug 11
I-765 was approved Sept 30
Worker's permit was received Oct 19.
I still have not received an interview date. I've been frustrated because his passport expires in July and the process to renew it by mail takes about 6 weeks (so they say) I've been delaying him from sending his passport to renew because I don't want to receive an interview date without him having a passport. To make things a little more complicated his Egyptian ID is also expiring in Feb (next month) which he needs to renew his passport but the consulate has told me that his ID can be expired. However, I don't want to take any chances.
