Vancouver Jan 23 Interview for H1B Experience
Very first thing I observed during interview was that there were many steps/queues before actual interview with VO.

First there was line just outside Consulate and they were taking 5-6 applicants at a time based on your appointment time slot. There is separate line (first queue, usually empty) for US Citizens and collecting your phone from their lockers. Lady at door in front of 2nd queue checked my passport, I-797 and DS-160 confirmation page and bundled them together with rubber-band and then she sent me to another 3rd queue (just besides 2nd one) for security check. Security Officer checked my document portfolio, wallet etc. to make sure I don't carry any USB device, phone (I wasn't carrying my mobile) and other restricted items and they also ask you to check restricted items list put there to confirm that you are not carrying any of them. Then there was another line just before entering consulate building. Once inside there is another security check (same as airport) and I was asked to remove my wallet, watch, belt, jacket etc. and I was directed to line for Counter 1A/1B. Here lady at counter asked for my passport, DS 160 Confirmation and one 2x2 size photo which was taken in last 6 months (they will ask you when was it taken). They may send you to get proper photo if the one you brought doesn't fit their specification, there is one photo booth right there and charge is $10 (CAD) but I think you can also get it done from outside somewhere near consulate. Lady at counter 1A stuck photo at back of my passport and sent me to Counter 2 (another line). Here my fingerprints are taken (all fingers 4 left, 4 right and 2 thumbs) and I was given token. Then I was asked to wait in seating area with other applicants. After that they called group of 5 applicants in order of token number and there was yet another queue before proceeding and then we are taken to elevator. There is one restroom right besides elevator which you can use before they take you to another floor for actual interview. We were accompanied by Security Officer to another floor in elevator and I joined final queue just before interview.

Interview Questions
* Where do you work?
* Is this your first H1B or continuation?
* Since how long you are working with your employer?
* Where did you Study? Did you study in US university?
* What is your base salary?

That's it and VO told me that your Visa is approved and gave me green paper with instructions to track status and pickup passport. Whole process took about 1 hour 15 minutes.
