Hey guys,

I been reading on all your successful stories of traveling with Advance Parole under Daca. First I want to thank you all for posting your positive experiences, without your post I don't think I would have had the courage to exit the country in our current situation.

I boarded my plane on Friday night at 1130PM with no issues.

I returned last night and arrived back at LAX at 0730. Due to the time and being a Sunday the second inspection room was packed and I waited in the room for almost 2.5 hours. It was definitely an unforgettable experience since I had a lot of time to reflect on what could happen once I get my name called. But I waited patiently and prayed everything will be fine. My daughter, wife(who I traveled with) and parents were waiting anxiously outside for me during this whole time. Well after the long wait my name was finally called. At first the officer asked me where was the second copy of my advance parole document. At the first inspection the officer only collected one so when he asked me about it I told him what had happened. He collected the second copy and told to take a seat again. After about five minutes he calls me back to the window and tells me that he will have to keep both AP copies. After asking him two times if I could get the copy with the stamped one and him saying no I decided to let it go, and kindly asked if I could at least get a scanned copy. He said reason why he is keeping the originals is because he seen people try to use the AP document twice. After gave me my copy and documents back he kindly says welcome back and tells me to report to the front desk and go pick up luggage. My wife had picked it up and we walked to the luggage inspection where you have to tell the officer what you bringing etc. After that we walked out to the waiting terminal and happily hugged my mom, daughter and was happy to be back home. I wanted to share this experience because like I said reading all these other shared stories gave me the courage to go and visit my homeland. Don't be scared as of now everything should be fine. Just don't take too long out there as there are many changes that Trump wants to put into place. Keep your eyes open on the many different website, keep yourself informed. Remember that Executive orders can be sign at any moment, however the current pattern has been Monday's and Friday's. Weekends are the best to avoid yourself being caught up out of the country if any Executive order comes into place which affects Daca.

Thank you all!

I will post my timeline of paperwork once I return home from work.
