Houston Office. Interview Completed
Field Office: Houston
Interview Date 02/09/17
Interview Time : 01:45 PM (Arrived at 1:00 PM , got called in about 2:15 PM)
Interview lasted about 1 hr ( we left the office at 3:20)
Marriage based

I am bilingual, but my wife only speaks Spanish. We did take a translator (Friend of hers), just in case. This was very help because the IO spoke very little Spanish.
He did not want me to answer any questions he asked her and vice versa.

Experience:
Very nice IO, very friendly, and talkative.
Immediately asked us for our supporting documents (We took Marriage license, photos, apt contract, Join Bank account, and some bills in my wife’s name)
He asked a lot of questions to my wife. (how we met, stuff about my family, etc)
I was missing 1 form and he was nice to print it out and let me fill it out, while he looked at our photos, and interviewed my wife)
Then he asked me some basic questions. Verified our information on the I-130 and the i-485.
Asked us for a new medical (which we did have).
And finally told us we would receive the card in 2 weeks, and how to remove the conditional part in 2 years

Tips.
1) Dont be nervous
2) Dress nice. This is an important interview.
3) If your medicals are expired or do not have the new criteria. Take new ones with you.
4) Take plenty of supporting documents to establish your marriage.
5) Take plenty of photos (We took about 70 photos) and he literally went through every single page. and asked us about certain photos
(Where was this taken? who are in the photos?, stuff like that)
6) in regards to the photos we took plenty of our marriage and a lot of photos with my family, her family, church friends, and social events.

Good Luck to everyone still waiting. Hope this helps. God bless.
