EAD & Travel Parole Approved 65 days!
Hello Everyone!

I submitted my AOS through marriage package and was received by USCIS first week of December 2016 and did my biometrics first week of January 2017 via walk in. ( I know time is Gold I tried and the center allowed me to do walk in early biometrics).

I got an RFE Dec 23 asking for more financial documents. Argh! I know this will delay my application but we submitted the RFE right away - first week of January 2017 and the status has not changed until now! The system tracker sometimes is unreliable according to experiences posted here.

On the side of being depressed, anxious and afraid, I decided to try if I can be approved for expedite request of my EAD and Travel Parole. I asked the help of my congressman for an extra "push". I have read in forums that Congressman can help so I gave it a shot as well.

At first USCIS responded to the congressman liaison that there is still a pending RFE therefore they can't process any expedite request for my application. I argued that we have submitted it a month ago and provided the same RFE response package to my congressman liaison officer.

After two days, I got a good news from the liaison officer stating that my EAD and Travel Parole have been approved! Consequently, I also got the notification via text and email that the status of my application has been changed and approved. I got like 5 same emails and one text message.

It only took me approximately 8.5weeks / 65 days more or less for my EAD/Parole Application. Praise the Lord! I am now waiting for the physical card now and hopefully to get it before the end of this week. Next step will be SSN application. My husband and I have been praying hard for this fervently and God listened to our prayers.

Of course I would like to get an update regarding my I-485 when will my interview day be scheduled- that's the ultimate thing we are all looking for to end our misery and get all our GC finally. Also, even though I have travel parole, I don't intend to travel at this time. I am just more comfortable travelling outside US with greencard already though some have posted here that they did not encounter any issue going back using parole given all the immigration movement changes by Trump.

I pray for everyone here and don't loose hope. Keep your faith alive and stronger. God will make a way he is a miracle worker. We are still praying hard for this wonderful blessing and hopefully we get an interview schedule soon here in San Diego.
