Still waiting on appointment for interview
Hi everyone, I have been constantly reading experiences here on this page and it helped me a lot with my worries while still on the process of adjusting my status. It has been six (6) months since my husband and I submitted our papers.
8/9/16 - notice of receipt (USCIS received application for AOS, PAR, EAD and AP)
8/17/16 - USCIS received fingerprint fee
8/22/16 - got I-767 (notice of receipt) of all 4 applications
10/18/16 - got a text that my AP was approved
11/18/16 - biometrics done
11/25/16 - received EAD and AP combo card in the mail
Is anyone experiencing a long wait with their papers? How long did you wait for your interview? I know I have to be patient however, it's just nerve-wracking especially when I went to get a MD state ID the MVA couldn't issue me one at the moment because they are still awaiting DHS verification. And I needed a photo ID reflecting my new name so I am having a delay with a job offer that requires a background check because my EAD has my maiden name and my SS card has my married name.
Any tips would really help. Thanks!
