Online updates
As we all know, USCIS is not consistent with their online updates. We saw that this weekend on their website with a glitch regarding processing dates. Also, a lot of people never have their status change to "Ready for Interview". Etc.
So, today I was thinking: what if an RFE was issued, but the online status did not change to "RFE mailed", and then somehow the letter doesn't reach its destination? It scares me a little. My PD is Nov. 3, 2016 and my I-485 still reads "Fingerprint Fee Received". But today I thought: What if I was actually issued an RFE, and USCIS failed to update the online status? (and the physical notice/letter could've gotten lost in the mail too)
Any thoughts on how likely this situation is? If issued an RFE, does the online update always happen?
